Japanese Omamori Amulets
These colorful tiny drawstring-bag-looking items are called omamori in Japanese. You can find these beautiful omamori in any shrines and temples in Japan. Omamori can be loosely translated as amulet that offers protection or talisman, a luck giver, and the kanji at the heart of the word means “to protect.” You may use them as decoration too for your phone, wallet, home wall, pocket or the like. Omamori are fiercely popular in Japan especially during New Year season and testing season for students.
